Ðạt, linh mục; sanh khoảng
1764 tại Ðồng Chuối, Thanh
Hóa; chết 28/10/1798. Thánh Ðạt,
được mô tả là một
người rất bình thản,
được thụ phong linh
mục năm 1798. Sau khi bị
bắt vì tội làm linh mục
bất hợp pháp, ngài bị
tù 3 tháng, rồi bị xử
trảm (chém đầu). Ngài và
thánh Emmanuel Triệu là những
vị linh mục triều đầu
tiên mà cuộc tử đạo
đã được ghi chép và
lưu trữ. Phong Á Thánh 1900.

Dat, described as a man of great serenity,
was ordained to the priesthood in 1798.
Following his arrest as an outlawed priest,
he was held in captivity for 3 months, then
beheaded. He and Emmanuel Trieu were the
first Vietnamese diocesan priests for whose
martyrdom a written account has been preserved.
